Lounge Additions - Gorgeous Autumn Colours

Image
Little by little, I've recently been trying to make some additions to my lounge. It's difficult, it's either lack of time, or money...or sometimes both! Thankfully, the little things I'm going to show you today, came about, quite accidentally! These gorgeous little coasters, were actually a birthday present, from one of the customers, at my work. The lady in question, went away on a trip to Madrid with her husband, and while she was there, saw these and thought of me. I am so pleased she did, as I adore them. The colours are absolutely amazing, and they fit very well on my coffee table. While I was away, for my birthday weekend, we visited Lacock in Wiltshire. Such a gorgeous little place, and it had a few little shops, which I had to pop into. One of them was a little gift type shop, and I found a fab little wax melt warmer, for only £3.45! It had one wax melt with it, and one tea light, too, (which I used before taking the photo, below!) Again, th

Daily moisturisers...without the hefty price tag!

Now, we all know that moisturisers are an integral part of our skincare routine, and are also key ingredients, in our quest to apply our makeup, as flawlessly, as possible. However, budget moisturisers have, at some points, leave me feeling a little underwhelmed. That was until I discovered...The Skin System..formulated for Asda! These fabulous little pots contain a day and a night cream, which has made my skin feel soft, supple and radiant! I began by buying the day cream, and was not really expecting a lot from it, but it surpassed my expectations, so I eventually bought the night cream too. The  Radiance Day Cream has SPF15, and contains coenzyme Q10, to fight the first signs of aging. It claims to be hypoallergenic and with hyaluronic acid. As I suffer from a skin condition called Dermotographia, the hypoallergenic bit, really caught my eye. It is in a 50ml glass jar, and you really don't need a lot, it just sinks into the skin.  It also has an amazing sme

My Little Box - October Edition

Image
I began subscribing to  My Little Box  in August, and the first box I received was fantastic! I loved everything, and I couldn't wait for September. Unfortunately, the September box was very underwhelming, and I know many of the subscribers were unhappy...but I stuck with them. And I'm really glad I did! October's box is amazing! Now, when I say box, it didn't actually come in a box...it came in a beautifully designed zip bag. So, on to my box of goodies:- Nude By Nature Perfecting Primer I'ved used this  few times, however not consistently. It has a beautiful texture, and I love the way it goes on to my skin. It claims to 'create a flawless canvas...to help extend makeup wear and disguise imperfections' I think I need to use this primer with one of my foundations, for a full week, to see the actual effects. My Little Beauty Hand Cream Oh my god, I love this! My Little Beauty always include one of their own products in the box, and t

Blogging - My Amateur Status

Image
Follow my blog with Bloglovin  We have had our blog for a fair few weeks now, however we haven't actually worked on it, a lot. I normally use the desktop computer, and Shannon has her MacBook Air, however since we moved a few months ago, and with our little house being a bit compact, I don't have a proper desk. So, I ordered a wireless Bluetooth keyboard, and an iPad stand from Ebay at the weekend. The cost was £2.99 for the stand, and £8.89 for the keyboard...what a bargain! I set them up on the side of the sofa, so that way,  I can blog, drink tea, and watch Now TV, all at the same time. Heaven. I will admit, I still don't know what I'm doing, most of the time...Shannon is way more savvy than me! I thought I'd try and learn more, by reading other blogs. These are my favourites. http://mikhila.com http://mypaleskin.blogspot.co.uk/ http://www.emmywritesabout.com/ https://metababycow.co.uk/ http://www.mappedoutblog.co.uk/ FoundbyKatie on Instagram T

STYLEI: EMMA WATSON | Shannon

Image
As I mentioned before, I created StyleI to encourage girls (and boys) of all ages to have fun with makeup and step out of their comfort zones. This evening (17:09:17) I decided to do my makeup in the style of Emma Watson. These pictures will also be going on my separate Instagram STYLEI00. This is the picture I referenced: Granted, I changed the lips up but you don't have to if you're not comfortable with dark lips. I like this look because its very fresh. Emma is beautiful and is actually my one biggest inspiration and idol which is why I decided to do one of her looks first. Obviously I don't have beautiful freckles (which is okay and please don't feel like you have to put them on with a brow pencil or something like all the beauty bloggers are doing nowadays!) or full brows like she does but I worked with what I have.  Here is how I did it: To start of, I used three of my staple skin products. Polaar Instant Eye Contour Energizer:  PawPaw Lipbalm: bareMi

Getting to Grips

Image
As I've not been using makeup and skincare for long, I am trying out a fair few products at the moment. Some are mine, some are samples, and some even belong to Shannon! I did my skincare and makeup yesterday (09.09.17), and thought I'd show you a before and after picture. I also thought I'd tell you what products I'd used. So here goes:- I used REN Rosa Centifolia Cleansing Water ( http://bit.ly/2vYgi5b ), to cleanse my entire face. I received this in my recent subscription to My Little Box. Afterwards, I washed my faced with L'oreal Paris Flowers Cleansing Wash ( http://bit.ly/2fbzUs6 ). This is how I looked at this stage: I wanted to try and combat the problems I have with my dry skin, so I used a few more products, before applying the makeup. I applied bareMinerals Skinlongevity Vital Power Infusion Serum ( http://bit.ly/2wRsF2R ), then Estee Lauder Revitalising Supreme Eye Balm ( http://amzn.to/2xoZOTZ ). I do have bags under my eyes, so I'm t

Makeup Brushes | Shannon

Image
My Brushes | Shannon I have always been told that applying makeup with brushes makes it look so much better and so that's what I've always done. However, recently in August it was my birthday (I may have already mentioned this haha) and so I decided to treat myself to some nicer ones. It makes me laugh thinking about the conversations I had with my mum's boyfriend in which he stared in disbelief and said (and I quote) "Why on earth do you need that many?!" Let's just say he's not 'into it' as much as mum and I are.  When searching for makeup items or brushes (especially online) I always read reviews to help me decide and I found a very reasonably priced set with great reviews from Spectrum Collections. This is what they look like: Spectrum Collections 'Attention Seeker' Essential Set. I absolutely love these brushes! You get 10 and they're amazingly soft and there is a good range.
